So for this year's Cup, find your warmest beanie and rock on up to one of the locations in Brisbane that is playing the games live – all for your viewing pleasure!
Football Australia Live Site - Reddacliff Place
At the top of Queen Street Mall in Reddacliff Place, fans can watch the Socceroos first group stage matches live on a giant screen.
The Live Site will be open from two hours before each match, with the crowd entertained by free giveaways and activity from Live Site Presenting Partner, Optus, and Supporting Partner Hyundai, an MC, and special guests from Brisbane Roar.
Schedule:
* Monday 14 June: Australia v Germany
Live Site commences 2.30am - Kick off 4.30am
* Sunday 20 June: Australia v Ghana
Live Site commences 10pm on 19 June - Kick off 12am on 20 June
* Thursday 24 June: Australia v Serbia
Live Site commences 2.30am - Kick off 4.30am
La Dolce Vita Caffe
La Dolce Vita Caffe will be open 24/7 during the World Cup – showing all matches live. Manager Roberto is expecting a big turn out and encourages you to come and soak up the atmosphere in Park Road, Milton.
Arrivederci Pizzeria
Also in Park Road, Arrivederci’s will be open 24/7 during the event, showing all the matches live on 5 LCD screens and 2 projector screens.
Treasury Casino
Watch every World Cup game live on three big screens at the Treasury Casino. It will be a 31- day, 24/7 festival of football with great food, amazing entertainment and unbeatable atmosphere. Check the Treasury’s website for further details.
Pig ‘N’ Whistle
Queen Street's Pig 'N' Whistle will be open 24/7 during the World Cup, as always, so you could head down there to catch a game or two or several!
The Pig ‘N’ Whistle on Eagle St will be playing nearly all of the World Cup games live, kicking off with South Africa vs Mexico at midnight on Friday 11 June. Please check their website for full details of opening times.
Indooroopilly's Pig 'N' Whistle is playing some matches live, while other games will be repeated throughout the day. Check their website for details.
Event Cinemas
Feel like watching the World Cup games in 3D? Well you can at Event Cinemas in Indooroopilly and Chermside for $22. Check the Event Cinemas website for screening times.
The Elephant & Wheelbarrow
You can catch all the World Cup games live at The Elephant & Wheelbarrow. Replays will also be broadcast in this British pub. Check their website for the match timetable.
Belle Époque
This French Bistro at the Emporium will open for Australia’s first game of the 2010 World Cup on Monday June 14 at 4am when the Socceroos take on Germany.
Belle Epoque will be serving breakfast plus a special FIFA World Cup $8 coffee and croissant deal. (Belle Epoque will decide whether or not to open their doors for Australia’s other two World Cup games after gauging the interest they receive for the first match.)
The Greek Club
The Greek Club is showing the first Greece game on Saturday night 12 June 2010. Greece is playing South Korea at 9.30pm. Fans can watch the game for free and will be able to buy food and drinks throughout the match.
Zi Bar
Located under the Palace Backpackers on Edward St, Zi Bar is showing most of the World Cup games live. Contact the bar directly for details.
Milano
Milano's Restaurant and Bar at the top of Queen Street Mall will also be airing a few of the World Cup games live. Contact Milano's for further details.
